The Battle of Tarawa

Tarawa Management, LLC proudly takes its name from the famous WWII battle which pitched a fierce, well supported Japanese defense against an amphibious landing of United States Marines. This landing was frustrated by low tides and unanticipated reefs, forcing many of the Marines to wade ashore under fire and units being separated and co-mingled. It was the textbook “fog of battle” scenario. Once ashore, Marines of all ranks distinguished themselves by adhering to their training and their espirit de corps and they led from where they stood. Often the most junior of the Marines made an impact in the absence of direct orders.

This clarity of purpose and an overwhelming sense of duty are the very characteristics we wish to instill in our team.
